I love
cooking (obviously), but I love making quick meals that are quick, easy,
filling, and delicious. One pot meals are the best thing to exist for the lazy
roommate.
I
present, my perfect one pot meal, Cheesy Pea and Tuna Pasta!
Now
before you go “Ew that sounds gross!!” You can always replace tuna with some
chicken, or ham, or pork, or bacon, or whatever kind of meat floats your boat.
I invented this little meal one day when I had random ingredients in my fridge,
and a limited budget, now it’s a go-to meal for dinners that are quick and
simple.
It’s
delicious, gooey, cheesy, warm, and always perfect for next-day leftovers. This
meal makes about 6 servings and is cost-effective. This meal costs less than
$10 and lasts for more than 2 days.
This
meal has everything, filling pasta, vegetables, cheesy goodness, and a protein.
One bowl of this bad boy and you’ll be full for the whole night.
Here’s
what you’ll need.
1 box
of curly-type pasta
2 small
cans of tuna
1 bag
of frozen peas
1.5
cups shredded mozzarella cheese
1 jar
delicious alfredo sauce
That’s
it! That’s all you need. Now how to make this meal –
- Boil pasta in large stock pot, once close to finishing, add the frozen peas. (Preferably 1-2 minutes before pasta is al-dente)
- Drain the pasta & peas
- In empty pot, add the alfredo sauce and the cheese, lower heat to LOW
- Add the pasta and peas into the cheesy sauce and mix together
- Finally, add the tuna, mix together, and spoon into bowls.
Perfect
and satisfying!
